During my recent Christmas getaway, I found myself at the MladiMir Hotel in Daruvar, a charming spot that truly embraces the idea of comfort and serenity. Nestled by the serene Julije Janković Park, the green garden is perfect for leisurely strolls, reminiscent of the lush landscapes back home in Kenya. The atmosphere of the hotel is enhanced by the thoughtful décor in the common areas, making it an enjoyable place to unwind after a day of exploration. The restaurant serves traditional Croatian dishes, which were both hearty and flavorful. I must admit, however, that the breakfast selection wasn't top-notch; while the atmosphere was inviting, the melons left much to be desired. My room, with its well-arranged amenities, was a cozy retreat where I could plan my next safari adventures; the balcony view over the park provided a lovely backdrop for these moments. The staff members were generally welcoming, particularly Biba and Mihaela, whose friendly demeanor added a personal touch to the stay. It was a shame that one of the managers, Branka, didn’t share the same warmth. The sauna was a delightful feature that allowed me to relax after a long day of travel, something I always look for in a hotel.
